As a growing bachata dancer who is also a full-time nomad traveling around the world, I now arrange my itineraries according to dance scenes and the digital nomad community. When I first visited Bansko, Bulgaria, this summer for its famed annual digital nomad festival, I was not expecting a dance community. After all, it is a small town with less than 9,000 people. But as I have come to realize, if there are digital nomads, there is a dance community. I was able to dance bachata and salsa weekly in this picturesque village. In this article, I will discuss the best places to dance salsa and bachata in Bansko, Bulgaria.

D&Vino Bansko Wine and Coffee
There is only one organizer of salsa, bachata, and kizomba events in Bansko given its small size. The group mostly runs on WhatsApp and Facebook groups. Since Bansko is a small town, it’s understandable that events and classes are run in small venues. D&Vino is a coffee shop and wine bar where these events often run, although they occasionally switch to other locations.
The WhatsApp group link isn’t made public so the best way is to join the Facebook group and request the WhatsApp invite through Leroy.
The organizer Leroy is a digital nomad based in Bansko – he stays in Bansko for 6 months of the year and travels out of it the rest of the year. So expect these events to be seasonal. Leroy is mostly a Kizomba dancer, although he is proficient in bachata and salsa as well.

Four Leaf Clover Coliving
Four Leaf Clover Coliving has a basement that is larger in size than the wine bar and restaurant. So this is the preferred location for these events.

Since this is a small community, dancers tend to be at beginner level, with a few intermediate to advanced level dancers in between.
